How to Use Gpedit on Vista Home Edition
- 1). Click "Start" and then "Run."
- 2). Type "gpedit" into the run box and press "Enter." This will take you into the Group Policy Editor.
- 3). Navigate to the program on which you want to make a policy. For instance, if you want to block a website, go to the "Computer Configuration" option and then to the "Windows Settings" option, "Security Settings," "IP Security Policies," and then "Internet."
- 4). Right-click the program on which you want to set up the policy. In this example, you would right-click on the "Firefox" or "Internet Explorer" icon.
- 5). Set the policy by enabling access to the different users on your computer through the user menu that appears. Click the "OK" button to save the setting, and then click "Close" to close the Group Policy Editor.
