    • 1). Set up the grill on your countertop and dust it with a soft cloth.

    • 2). Plug in the grill and ensure it has adequate air space above and around it, taking special care to keep oven mitts or dish towels away from the unit.

    • 3). Preheat the grill for at least 5 minutes with the lid closed. Note the power light glowing, indicating that the grill is heating up.

    • 4). Fit the drip tray in front of the grill.

    • 5). Put on an oven mitt, then lift the grill's lid. Place the food directly on the grill using the plastic spatula that came with the grill or with plastic tongs.

    • 6). Close the lid and cook for the appropriate amount of time, which is less time than the food would take in a pan on the stove, because the George Foreman grill heats from the top and the bottom. The power light will re-light indicating the grill is returning to the correct temperature. After a couple of minutes, you'll notice grease dripping out of the grill and rolling into the drip tray.

    • 7). Unplug the grill when the food is thoroughly cooked.

    • 8). Slip the oven mitt onto your hand and lift the grill lid. Use the plastic spatula or tongs to lift the food away from the heating element and transfer it to a plate or pan.
