Life Motto - Live an MVP Life
"Live an MVP life.
Fulfill your potential and make those around you better.
" -Matt Maresca This life motto above is one of my favorites.
Unfortunately, a lot of non-sports fans do not really know what I mean by it.
Well, I decided to create this article to clear things up a bit.
What is an MVP? MVP stands for "Most Valuable Player".
It is an award given out in many sports to the player who is most valuable to his team.
Lately, the award has often been given simply to the best player in his sport, or the player who had the best statistical season.
However, the true meaning of an MVP goes far beyond that.
A true MVP is someone who makes his team better.
It is someone who has great talent himself, but also makes his teammates better.
This person understands the team concept and his/her skills fit in nicely with what the team is trying to do.
An MVP is a winner.
When the game is on the line, the MVP steps up and makes the big play.
The MVP comes through in the clutch more often than not, but isn't afraid of failure.
An MVP is someone a team cannot do without.
If the MVP were to get injured, it is likely that the team would suffer.
This is because the shear presence of the MVP in the game changes the game itself, especially if the other team is focusing all its efforts to stop the MVP.
How does this all relate to life? In life, an MVP is someone who brings a lot to the table.
It is someone who has worked hard to develop his/her skills and has made a point to utilize these skills in the world.
A life MVP is a person who also makes the people around him/her better.
This person helps others to reach their full potential by reaching out to them in times of need.
The life MVP is a good communicator because he/she has learned how to effectively communicate.
Life MVPs exude positive energy.
They know that when times are tough, other people will be looking for them to be strong.
They know that obstacles are a part of life that were created to test one's will.
Life MVPs achieve when others walk away.
I'm challenging you today to live like an MVP.
Be the person that the world needs right now.
Be the person that makes the world a better place.
Be the positive influence that makes this world a place where it is great for us all to live.
