Choosing Your Perspective - The Happy Monday Way
If you have ever seen my writing, you are well aware I tend to view things differently than most people do.
I know there is always something more than lies on the surface of any given situation.
I have always had that burning desire to look deeper than what is apparent.
To some people, this is annoying.
To others, inspiring.
Just like any situation, there are always two sides.
Yesterday, I logged into Facebook and the first status was: "Happy Monday everyone!!!" and the next one below it was: "Ugh.
Monday.
Nuff said.
" See the difference? Ahhh, sweet perspective...
Can you not just feel the difference in those two sentiments? Who do you think had a good day and who do you think had a crappy day? Hmmmmmmm, no use betting on that one! When I get overwhelmed, I have a hard time choosing the best perspective, as I think most people do.
I find that life is so much easier and much more fun when I choose the "Happy Monday" way.
" to "Happy Monday!!!" is my favorite topic...
Gratitude.
It works.
Every time.
Without fail.
How could it NOT work? When you find yourself grateful for what you have (the "Happy Mondays",) you lose the focus on the lack of what you would like to have (the dreaded "Ughs.
") Let's use Monday as an example.
Who do you think is grateful for that job? Who do you think would be happier on Monday morning if she WERE grateful for her job? Bingo.
Like I said, gratitude works.
So, the next time you catch yourself with a bad case of the "Ugh.
Mondays" how about adopting a bit of gratitude and you just may find yourself a little closer to the "Happy Mondays!"

Happy Monday is going to work. - Ms.

Monday is going to work. - Ms.
Happy Monday probably loves or at least likes her job. - Ms.
Ugh.
Monday does not seem happy with her job.
