How to Boot With an ISO File
- 1). Insert the medium that holds your ISO file into the computer. For instance, if you have an ISO file on a DVD, put the DVD into the DVD drive. If the ISO file is on a flash drive, put the flash drive into the USB port of your computer.
- 2). Boot or restart your system and watch the computer screen for the BIOS prompt. This will read "Press ALT to enter the BIOS setup" or something similar depending on your motherboard. Follow the directions on the screen to enter the BIOS menu.
- 3). Go to the "Boot Menu" in the BIOS setup window and use your arrow keys to scroll down to the "Primary Boot Device" entry.
- 4). Change the Primary Boot Device so it is in accordance with your ISO files medium. For instance, if the ISO file is on a DVD, change the primary boot device to the DVD drive.
- 5). Use the arrow keys to go over to "Save and Quit" and press "Enter" to restart the computer and boot from your ISO file.
