How to Remove Tar From Concrete Floors
- 1). Pour mineral spirits onto the tar. Let it sit for a while to break up the tar.
- 2). Scrub the tar with a nylon brush to break it up further. This will require quite a bit of effort, so keep scrubbing until the tar is broken up. If there is a lot of tar, take what gets broken up and put it in a bucket to dispose.
- 3). Repeat steps 1 and 2 until all of the tar is removed.
- 4). Mop up what is left with warm, soapy water when you are done removing all of the tar. If the concrete is outside, you may want to spray off the concrete with a hose when you are finished.
