How to Make Cute Voodoo Doll Keychains
- 1). Glue one end of the yarn to the foam ball.
- 2). Wrap the yarn around the foam ball to cover its entire surface. Wrap until you are no longer able to see any foam underneath.
- 3). Cut the yarn with a pair of scissors then glue the end of the wrapped yarn to the ball.
- 4). Pull out about 6 inches of yarn and lay it on a table or other hard surface. Once finished, this portion will be one of the doll's legs.
- 5). Fold the yarn and overlap the 6-inch piece to the end, then fold and overlap again. Repeat this process about ten times, or until you have achieved the thickness you want your voodoo doll's legs to be.
- 6). Make a knot in the free ends around the overlapped yarn.
- 7). Wrap the overlapped yarn tightly from end to end. Cover the overlapped yarn with about two layers of wrapped yarn.
- 8). Cut the loose end of yarn from the overlapped and wrapped piece, then tie a knot around it again to secure. Repeat this overlapping and wrapping process two more times to make a total of three pieces.
- 9). Lay two of the wrapped lengths of yarn side by side on a table or hard surface.
- 10
Lay the middle of the third wrapped length on one end of the two side by side pieces to create a "T" shape. The two lengths will make the bottom leg of the "T" while the single piece will make the top line of the "T". - 11
Tie a knot with yarn around all three pieces to secure them together, then begin to wrap the "T" shape several times around the top where the three pieces come together. This will help the doll retain its shape and will make the connecting pieces strong. - 12
Cut about three 6-inch lengths of yarn from the roll with the scissors. - 13
Tie these lengths of yarn around the yarn-wrapped ball. Bring all of the knots into the same place on the ball and allow the remaining ends of yarn to hang down in the same direction. - 14
Lay the ball on a flat surface with the ends of the tied yarn laying out in a straight line. - 15
Lay the "T" shape on top of the ends tied to the ball, then begin to wrap the "T" and the loose ends of yard together to attach what will be the head of the voodoo doll. Continue to wrap the yarn tightly, going from the neck of the doll down to approximately where you judge your doll's waist will be, then wrap the yarn back up the doll to the neck again. Repeat this process until the doll is as thick as you would like it to be and is rigid and sturdy. Cut the yarn and glue the end to the body when finished. - 16
Attach a key ring to the back of the doll's neck by threading the ring through several pieces of the wrapped yarn.
