      Keyless remotes are one of the most prized innovations of the last few decades of automotive innovation. Just like cars, some are better than others, more pricey but able to do things only imagined when the first keyless remote came on the market. From GPS to remote starting, these top-of-the-line key fobs are impressive to say the least and some are so advanced, they could save your life.

    • Jaguar's latest models offer Smart Key System that allows the driver to start the car simply by pressing the "Start/Stop" button, eliminating any key fumbling. Land Rover's latest Range Rover Sport model offers a fob that can tolerate a 30-foot drop onto concrete. It can also be submerged up to 75 feet of water. BMW's latest key fobs is not a key at all--instead drivers simply slip the fob into a slot on the dashboard. Lexus' latest model does not feature any fancy features except for its size: it is as thin as two credit cards. Volvo S80 has a key fob that can actually read an interior heartbeat sensor that is installed in the car. That means if someone is hiding in your car, the key fob will alert you to his presence. Cadillac's latest key fobs come with remote start, a must in colder climates.

    • Crimestopper is at the top of the market when it comes to keyless remote entry. Its systems include keyless a remote with an alarm system, remote starting, and GPS all in one. It also issues user-selected reports on the car's performance including gas mileage and emissions. A prime attraction of this system for the parent is its perimeter monitor. It will alert the car owner whenever the car leaves a restricted preset area.

    • By far the most advanced keyless remote entry system, the Advent Two-Way LCD Remote Entry System. It is a top-of-the-line remote entry with a range of 1,500 feet. The key fob has an LCD panel which informs you of your car's condition. The key fob will display whether or not your trunk or hood is open. It displays the date and time, and comes with a valet switch you can use in the car if you have misplaced your remote and uses a temperature gauge that will turn on your car's rear defrost whenever the temperature of the car is below 55 degrees.
