Listening to a washer vibrate especially during a fast spin cycle can be very annoying. There are several reasons why a washer might vibrate, but even when you resolve some of those issues, laundry appliances can still vibrate too much and move out of place. About Silent Feet & How to Order:

The Silent Feet reviewed were one package of Silent Feet Anti-Vibration Pads (green package) and 1 red package of Silent Feet Anti-Walk Pads, for our washer and dryer.

Our top load washer vibrates noisily and the dryer tends to move out of place too easily.

Both are noisy due to the type of floor and lack of sufficient (floor) bracing in the laundry area. We also wanted to keep the height of each appliance similar, hence why we wanted to place pads under both appliances.

How you order and use Silent Feet will depend on your particular washer and dryer installation. Our laundry appliances are in a small alcove with upper cabinets, so little room to access, without pulling out one appliance enough to get behind them.

It can seem confusing when trying to decide which package(s) to order, but I hope the following details will help you through the process. The product description above applies to all Silent Feet and all their products are anti-vibration.

The difference between the two product packages reviewed are the contents. Keep in mind that it's easier to push an appliance back into place, if it has 2 Easy-slide on the back and 2 Super Sticky which are put on the front, after the appliance is repositioned, rather than sticky pads all around. However, according to Vibration Solution, the maker of Silent Feet, Super Sticky all way around may be best for a stackable unit.

It also depends on how serious a vibration problem you have; the site has more detail and ordering advice you should refer to. You may want one green and one red package, or two (green) packages  for your laundry appliances. Silent Feet also has pads for ocean blue and crimson red laundry appliances, as well as pads for industrial appliances. Find more package details or in the product links below.

These Silent Feet packages will include:

• Silent Feet Anti-Vibration Pads (green pkg) contains 2 Easy-Slide plus 2 Super Sticky pads

How We Installed the Silent Feet:

For some reason, the samples provided for our test were different than the norm, which gave us an odd number of sticky pads, but we made them work as follows:

• Under the washer, we placed 2 Easy-Slide on back; two Super Sticky on front
• Under the dryer, we placed 1 Easy-slide plus 1 Super Sticky on back; 2 Super Sticky on front

Installing the pads was much easier than expected given the way our appliances are placed. Sorbothane® does a great job of keeping the appliances still and absorbing vibrations. There was no problem placing the appliances down on these shock-absorbing and anti-walk feet.

How the Silent Feet Performed:

The anti-vibration properties of these pads works. It's a simple fix for washer vibration. There's no way to get at the laundry room floor to add more bracing, so these affordable pads resolve these issues. And the dryer no longer walks out of place.

We are absolutely pleased with results. There is less noise since we put these feet on both appliances. I highly recommend them. Our laundry appliances are in the entrance area and not far from our main living space, so cutting down on noise and vibration makes a big difference. These Silent Feet are well made, durable and have a 10 year warranty, which is outstanding.
