We are living in a very stressful world today.  People talk about stress every day and how it is affecting their health and family.  Many people are even making money by giving some tips on stress reduction.  The most stressful part of life is perhaps at work.  If stress reduction techniques could be bought in the market, it is perhaps the most sold out.  Stress reduction techniques are free and you don't need to spend any dime for acquiring tem.  You can always have your own stress reduction techniques too.

Here are some easy to follow stress reduction techniques that you can use at work.

Be organized

Nothing could defeat a well-organized person when it comes to stress reduction at work.  You can accomplish your work easier and faster if you know how to organize your work.  There are no hassles and problems could be minimized if you are an organized worker.  The trick to being organized is to make a list of tasks that should be accomplished for the day.  Set your priorities and accomplish them first before proceeding to your other tasks.  Before starting your work; make sure that your schedule is organized well so that your work will be systematic and there will be no interruptions.  It also helps if your things on your table are well organized.  This practice saves time and avoids a lot of pauses from work; thus reducing stress.

Breathing exercises

 You cannot do other exercises while at work but you can do some breathing exercises to relax your nerves.  Count as your exhale and inhale so that your nerves will be relaxed.  Do this for at least five minutes.  You can do this every time you need a breathing space at work.  It is not healthy to keep working if you develop a head ache because of too much pressure from work.  If you are tired, pause and do some breathing exercises so that you will be able to relax before continuing your work.

Creating positive energy around you

You can create positive energy around you to reduce stress at work.  This means that you should be friendly to your boss and co-workers so that you will create a positive energy around you.  Not only that.  Positive energy comes from the attitudes you possess and the attitudes of the people around you.  In order to create a pleasant working place; you must start from yourself.  If you are good then your co-workers will also be good to you.  Positive traits beget positive traits and that is what you should always practice.  To increase positive energy around you, you should also think of pleasant things and avoid negative comments to your co-workers.  If you notice something wrong going on, try to find ways to reverse it so that things will always be fine and not the other way around.  The positive energy around you will create a pleasant and comfortable working place for you which will help reduce stress.

Play music

Music is one of the best stress reducers.  Use soft and mellow music while you are working in order to relax your nerves and reduce stress.  Music has a soothing effect that can calm you down while you are working.  Instead of listening to the different sounds around you that are sometimes irritating to the ears, you can play music and it will help you feel more at ease.

Stress could affect your work and your life too so you have to find ways to reduce it.  There are no right formulas to use just bear in mind that it is important to reduce stress in order to be able to work properly and have a healthier life.
