How to Make Decorative Bottles for the Kitchen

      Pack a bottle tightly with pepper slices, dried beans or sliced fruit. Fill with vegetable oil. Top the bottle with a cork, or screw the lid back on. (This type of decorative bottle can also be used in cooking.)

    • 2). Fill canister jars with polished rocks. These are great for rustic kitchens. Use jars that close with a metal clamp.

    • 3). Fill a glass soap dispenser bottle that has a stopper with potpourri. Choose potpourri that enhances the colors in the kitchen.

    • 4). Fill any empty glass jar or bottle with dried pasta. This preserves the pasta and lends your kitchen a decorative touch.
