Introduction and Supplies

Three segments of beads - turquoise, onyx, and pewter - give these dangling earrings lots of movement. These were made to accompany my Turquoise Cross and Faceted Onyx Necklace.

*2 - 12mm Pewter round scroll bead
*2 - 6x8mm Black onyx faceted rondelle beads
*2 - 6mm Blue turquoise beads
2 Sterling ear hooks
2 Head pins
8 inches of Sterling 21-gauge wire
Wire cutters
Chain-nosed pliers
Round-nosed pliers

*These items came from Auntie's Beads.

1. Put a pewter bead onto a head pin, make simple loop aka unwrapped loop, and trim off any excess head pin with wire cutters.

2. Using wire, making another simple loop, slip a turquoise bead onto the wire, and finish the other end with another simple loop.

3. Repeat step only this time using an onyx bead.

4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 so that you have two each.

5. To complete the earrings, connect all the dangle elements: one turquoise, one onyx, and end with one pewter. Repeat this for the second earring.
6. Attach ear hooks to the top of each one.
