    Nail Decals

    • Various nail decals are available to purchase in beauty shops, salons or any store that carries beauty supplies. Simple Hello Kitty nail decal designs can be applied to a nail after applying polish or just on the bare nail. Peel off the desired decal and press it firmly on the nail. Smooth out the edges so there are no bubbles under the decal, which could result in it peeling off. Apply a clear top coat over the nail to seal in the decal. Decals can be applied to just one nail or all of them.

    Pinstriping Paint

    • Pin striping paint is similar to nail polish. The difference is that it has an extremely thin brush to design fine lines of color on nails. Draw a Hello Kitty head or her bow as an outline on a polished nail for a simple design. Draw a simple Hello Kitty face on the tip of a nail that has the French manicure style. Draw Hello Kitty's eyes, nose and whiskers in the white portion of the nail. Draw a little pink bow along the edge of the white tip to complete the Hello Kitty look.

    Acrylic

    • Acrylic comes in several colors and can be applied in patterns on the nails to create a unique styled look. Apply white acrylic to a portion of the nail to create Hello Kitty's head. Arrange pink acrylic at the top of the white area to create the bow. Add a small dab of black to create the whiskers and eyes. Place a yellow acrylic dot the center for a nose. When the design is done in acrylic it can not be smudged or changed without removing the artificial nails, so your style stays in place longer than decals or plain polish.

    3-D Styles

    • Making 3-D Hello Kitty nail designs can be done using acrylic or gel on artificial nail tips. Drop the colored acrylic onto wax paper and use the brush to form it to the desired shape. Create just the pink bow out of acrylic or the entire Hello Kitty herself. Allow the acrylic shapes to cure and harden completely before applying to nails. Use nail glue to apply the Hello Kitty 3-D designs onto the nails. Apply a layer of clear top coat to the nails to help seal in the acrylic.
