How to Install a Corner Desk
- 1). Cut a 2-inch-wide strip of cardboard off the box. Cut that strip into sections each the width of the legs or rails that support your corner desk.
- 2). Clear the corner where you want to install the corner desk.
- 3). Assemble the desk according to the instructions from the manufacturer, then slide the desk into the corner.
- 4). Test the desk by shaking it with your weaker hand. If it tips or tilts, continue with these instructions. If not, the desk is stable enough to function as-is.
- 5). Fold several of the cardboard pieces in half lengthwise -- they should be 1-inch-long and as wide as the desk support.
- 6). Identify which desk supports aren't touching the ground. Slide a cardboard piece in place beneath each. Repeat to add additional cardboard pieces, called "shims," until the desk is stable.
- 7). Attach the desk to a wall stud using the L-bracket. Screw one leg of the bracket to the underside of the desk, and the other to the wall using your screwdriver.
