Keeping your Hair Healthy With Ingredients From your Kitchen!

Women's hair catches a truly raw deal. Every woman wants beautiful, shimmering hair that will turn heads, but in trying to do so they actually damage their hair and take out all of the ingredients that allow your hair to naturally shine at its best. Drying, curling, wet-brushing, and other common styling practices take out all of those essential vitamins and minerals and leave you with dry, unattractive hair. A lot of people are now looking for simple, effective ways to put back all of things that get taken out of their hair, and fortunately, this isn't hard! There are a lot of great things you can do to improve your hair's appearance, and here we'll focus on how to fix your dry, brittle, damaged hair with simple ingredients you'll probably find around your house.

1. Olive Oil. Our scalp creates its own natural oils to help moisturize our hair, but unfortunately today, we often use up so much of that precious moisture in styling hair that the scalp never is able to create enough oil to make up for it. Olive oil has a lot of the things in it that our hair often lacks, and is great for restoring your dry hair back to its lush state! All you have to do is heat your olive oil up enough to be warm, and coat your hair in it. To cut down on mess, wrap your hair up in a plastic bag, and then wrap that up in a warm towel. Leave it in for about 15 minutes, and let your hair soak up the moisture!

2. Mayonnaise is another kitchen item that's great for hair. Although it may sound odd, mayonnaise is actually quite well known as an effective hair treatment. It just so happens that mayonnaise is loaded with the vitamins, fatty acids, minerals and protein that is extremely beneficial to hair and that gives it a brilliant, lush quality. It's important that you also make sure to avoid using products like Miracle Whip – you want only 100% real mayonnaise, so make sure you look for it. When applying it to your hair, put it on rather thick. The goal is to soak each and every individual strand of hair. Then just wrap it up in your plastic bag and then follow up with a warm towel, and let your hair soak it up for about 15 minutes!

3. Last but certainly not least, we have eggs. To understand why eggs are so beneficial, you first need to realize that your hair is mostly comprised of protein. Any lack of protein either in your diet or your hair will cause it to dull, become harder and more brittle, thin and severely effect its appearance. As a natural source of protein, eggs do a fantastic job of charging your hair and replenishing it with protein. An egg mask is made up from a few ingredients, so look around on the web for a mask that's right for you.

Obviously, the goal here is to recharge your hair with all the necessary ingredients it needs to keep itself strong, healthy, and radiant. Very rarely is anyone's hair completely packed with everything it needs to keep itself looking great, so we need to improvise and come up with ways to put the things back in them that get taken out by every day living and styling. These ingredients are all great because of their effectiveness and their availability – if you can't find them, you're not looking hard enough! Taking just one night out of your week to pamper and spoil your hair with these and other ingredients can make a very noticeable difference in your hair's appearance.
