How to Braid Hair Across the Forehead
- 1). Smooth any frizz in the hair using a styling product such as a mousse, so your hair will go where you need it to and stay where you put it.
- 2). Make an exaggerated part in your hair, either on the left or the right, whichever side you prefer.
- 3). Section off the bangs based on how thick you want the braid to be and brush them forward. To make the process easier, secure the rest of your hair back away from the sectioned-off bangs and your face.
- 4). Make three even sections from the bang hair, as if you were beginning a typical French braid.
- 5). Starting where your part line begins, braid the three strands together in a French braid style, constantly incorporating new strands of the bangs within each section as you move across the forehead toward the opposite ear.
- 6). Continue braiding the bangs in this manner until you reach your ear. Depending on how you are planning on styling the rest of your hair, you can continue the braid into the rest of your hair or simply secure it with a small twist tie or bobby pin behind the ear.
- 7). For maximum hold and security, lightly spray the braid with a lightweight hairspray.
