• Most birch plywood is sold in standard 4-by-8-foot sheets. A quarter-inch-thick standard panel containing five plies weighs 25 lbs. A half-inch-thick panel containing seven plies weighs 50 lbs. The weight of smaller panels varies by size and thickness.
  
  

Thin Plywood

• A 12-by-12-inch panel 1/8 inch thick weighs a little more than 1 lb. A 12-by-24-inch panel weighs 1.4 lbs. A 12-by-36-inch panel weighs 1 3/4 lbs. A 12-by-48-inch weighs 1 3/4 lbs. A 24-by-24-inch panel weighs 1 1/2 lbs. A 12-by-12-inch panel 1/4 inch thick weighs 1.8 lbs. A 12-by-24-inch panel weighs 2 1/2 lbs. A 15-by-30-inch panel weighs 2.7 lbs. A 12-by-36-inch panel weighs 3.4 lbs.

• A 12-by-12-inch panel 3/8 inch thick weighs 2.7 lbs. A 12-by-24-inch panel weighs 4 lbs. and a 10-by-36-inch panel weighs 10.3 lbs. A 12-by-12-inch panel a half inch thick weighs 3.6 lbs. A 12-by-24-inch panel weighs 5 1/2 lbs. and a 12-by-36-inch panel weighs 7.3 lbs. A 24-by-24-inch panel weighs 5.7 lbs.
