Pork Loin with Red Cabbage

Elide, who handles the kitchen while her husband Enrico serves (and chats) with the patrons at their restaurant in Priocca, is an artist.

There's no getting around it, and it was a struggle to take the first bite of this pork loin and finely sliced cabbage salad. I'm lucky I had my camera with me, because otherwise I might still be sitting there looking at it.

As it was, the second bite was much easier...

And all too soon it was gone.
