    • 1). Wash off the eyeglass lenses with tap water in the kitchen sink to remove loose dirt and other contaminants. Dry the lenses with a soft microfiber cloth. Let the eyeglasses air-dry so the lenses are completely dry before continuing.

    • 2). Hold the eyeglasses in one hand with the scratched lens facing up. Spray a side of the microfiber cloth with wood touch-up spray cleaner.

    • 3). Wipe the scratched lens with the moistened cloth, using slow circular motions that begin at the center of the lens and end at the outer edges. Spray the cleaner on the cloth again and repeat this procedure.

    • 4). Place a glass bowl on the counter top, by the kitchen sink. Fill the bowl two-thirds full of tap water. Add three to four drops of dishwashing liquid. Stir the mixture with your finger until the water is soapy.

    • 5). Place the lens that is scratched in the mixture in the bowl. Shake the lens back and forth vigorously for 10 seconds. Remove the lens from inside the bowl.

    • 6). Repeat this procedure, starting first with the wood touch-up spray cleaner and ending with the lens in the soapy mixture an additional two times.

    • 7). Wash the lens that was scratched, as well as the other lens, in tap water under the kitchen sink. Dry the lenses with a soft microfiber cloth. Let the eyeglasses air-dry before putting them on.
