How to Create a Horseshoe with Bling
- 1). Wash the horseshoe and dry it thoroughly. Sand any rough edges.
- 2). Place newspaper on a flat, outdoor surface. Lay three toothpicks to prop the horseshoe so it is raised above the newspaper, preventing it from sticking when painted.
- 3). Place the horseshoe on top of the toothpicks. One under each arm of the shoe and one under the top will keep it balanced. Spray with a metal paint in a bright color such as gold, silver, white or pink. Let it dry and then turn it over. Spray the other side with the same color or a contrasting one. Let it dry completely.
- 4). Squirt glitter glue in the crevice on the front of the shoe until it's level with the flat part of the shoe. Top with sequins. On each arm of the shoe, place small stick-on bling such as diamonds, hearts or stars.
- 5). Write the child's name with the marker at the bottom of the shoe. Tie a ribbon or string to the two top holes for hanging.
