How to Record Tracks on Cubase VST
- 1). Connect the MIDI interface to your computer and install it with the provided disc. A USB MIDI interface is a widely compatible type.
- 2). Plug a jack lead into the output of your instrument.
- 3). Plug the other end of the lead into an input on your MIDI interface.
- 4). Connect headphones to the MIDI interface to hear the music.
- 5). Click and launch Cubase, which automatically detects the MIDI interface.
- 1). Select an empty track from the tracklist at the side of the interface.
- 2). Adjust the input levels on the MIDI interface so that the instrument is loud enough to be picked up by the interface.
- 3). Click the "Record" icon to command Cubase to record onto this track.
