These Junior Cosplayers Look Amazing
Cool Kids in Cosplay at Melbourne SupanovaPop Culture Expo
It's not just adult fans that like to dress up as their favorite characters when visiting comic book and Sci-Fi conventions anymore. Every year more and more kids are getting in on the act and whether they're cosplaying as a princess, superhero or ninja, these junior performers exhibit as much dedication and passion as their older counterparts and continue to show that it’s never too early to follow your dreams and be the hero you always wanted to be.
This year’s Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Melbourne, Australia saw an impressive number of children take the leap into cosplaying, many for the first time. Here are some of the best from the popular annual event.
2 Super Cute Girls Cosplaying as Monster High's Draculaura and Wonder Woman
These two sisters were having a ball in their Draculaura and Wonder Woman costumes that looked great and really allowed them to express their individual personalities. Check out those fantastic poses!
A Cool Kid Dressed up as Rex from Star Wars: Clone Wars
The Clone Wars may be over but that hasn't stopped fans young and old from carrying on its legacy as we can see from this great Rex costume.
A Fantastic Family Cosplaying as Characters from Once Upon a Time
One of the most family friendly shows on TV right now is Once Upon A Time which features numerous fairy tale characters thrust into our modern world and forced to deal with villains and mysteries while remembering what's most important, family.
The variety of characters on the fantasy hit TV show make for great inspiration for group and family cosplays as seen here with two young girls playing Anna and Elsa (also seen in the popular movie Frozen), a teenage girl playing the teenage Emma Swan (and really looking the part!) and the two lovely ladies as Regina (the evil queen) and Snow White.
Super Cool Girl as the Superhero, Batman
Kudos to this cool girl for playing Batman and really embodying his tough attitude. Watch out for that guy in the Joker t-shirt on the right!
Adorable girl as Elsa from Disney's Frozen
Frozen inspired a lot of Anna and Elsa cosplay this year and this was one of the cutest. A great little Elsa.
Two Boys in GreatNaruto Cosplay
The Naruto fandom is still going strong, especially with young boys. These two guys looked full on in their detailed costumes inspired by the popular anime and manga character. They even had all the special attack poses down!
Fantastic Family Star Wars Cosplay with 2 Ewoks, Padme Amidala and a Handmaiden
The variety of characters and alien species in the Star Wars movies and cartoons provides an almost unlimited array of cosplay options to choose from. These two families' kids got together for a fun group themed cosplay with two (super cute) Ewoks from Return of the Jedi accompanied by Padme and her handmaiden from Attack of the Clones.
A great group of cosplayers with two Links (from the Legend of Zelda Nintendo games), Howl (from Studio Ghibli's Howl's Moving Castle) and a soldier.
The great thing about cosplaying is that it allows fans to be as creative as they want with their favorite characters customize it to their own tastes as we can see with this unique take on a pink Batgirl! Fantastic idea!
