How to Install a Beaded Above Ground Pool Liner
- 1). Open the pool liner up and lay it in a flat, sunny location to warm up for 30 minutes. Allowing the liner to warm up makes it much easier to handle.
- 2). Lay the liner out over the top of the pool and allow it to drop to the pool floor.
- 3). Align the rounded seams on the pool liner with the bottom edges of the pool.
- 4). Insert the north edge of the pool liner into the grooved bead track located along the upper edge of the pool wall. The bead track is also called the "bead receiver".
- 5). Move to the south end of the pool and insert the pool liner into the bead track. Repeat this process with the east and west edges of the pool.
- 6). Attach all remaining liner edges to the bead track until the liner is completely attached to the pool wall.
- 7). Use a long-handled push broom to smooth out any remaining wrinkles in the bottom of the pool liner.
- 8). Insert the vacuum hose through the skimmer opening in the side of the pool. Surround the opening around the hose with duct tape to create an airtight seal.
- 9). Turn the vacuum on to suck out the excess air under the pool liner.
- 10
Fill the pool with water using a garden hose. Stop when the pool is two feet full of water and check the liner to ensure it is still in the bead track. - 11
Turn off the vacuum and detach it from the skimmer opening. - 12
Use a knife to cut holes in the pool liner for the skimmer and water return openings. - 13
Use a screwdriver to attach the face plates for the skimmer and return opening that were provided with the pool. - 14
Continue filling the pool with water until it reaches two feet from the top edge of the pool.
