How to Sew Pillow Cases With Trim

    • 1). Cut two pieces of fabric each 22 inches by 36 inches. Cut trim 44 inches long.

    • 2). With right sides together, sew a 1/2-inch seam down both long sides and one short side. Turn right side out and press

    • 3). Turn under a 1/4-inch hem on open short side and press. Fold under another 1/2 inch and press again. Sew 1/4 inch from the edge to form the hem.

    • 4). Measure 8 inches from the open edge all the way around and mark lightly with a pencil. Sew one edge of trim to this line. Sew the other edge of trim to the pillowcase, or leave the second edge unsewn if you're using ruffled lace for your trim. Press.
