Are you searching for sciatica relief? If you suffer with painful sciatica pain, there are many treatment options available to help.
In this article, I am going to cover a few of the more common treatments to help you find relief.
1) Stretching: Stretching helps to loosen tight muscles.
With stretches meant for sciatica, you are loosening the muscles surrounding the nerve itself.
2) Exercise: Low-impact exercise is also very important for sciatica relief.
It is important to keep your muscles moving or they will quickly stiffen up and create more pain.
Even though it seems like bed-rest would be the best treatment, try and refrain from laying down for extended periods of time (except while sleeping) or you could be creating more harm than good.
3) Acupressure: This is similar to acupuncture though you are not using needles.
Acupressure is an ancient healing method that uses fingers to press key pressure points to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities.
This releases muscle tension, promotes blood circulation, and helps you heal a number of different ailments - including sciatica.
You can do this yourself or have a partner help you.
4) Pain Medications: Pain medications can also be used for sciatica relief but are not necessary.
Some sciatic pain sufferers choose to take aspirin or NSAIDS (i.
e.
Tylenol).
5) Surgery: A 5th option for sciatica relief is surgery but should only be a last resort.
This should only be used if every other method of treatment was tried first since there are too many risks involved.
I used to suffer with sciatica back problems myself.
I was able to cure my pain however by using all natural treatment methods.
I didn't find sciatica relief by using medications, expensive physical therapy visits, or surgery.
I was able to heal myself naturally.
