Crate training is an often overlooked part of dog training which is unfortunate because a dog that is properly crate trained is much happier and more secure. They treat their crates as their very own little den where they know they are secure.

Bruce my jack Russell terrier really found comfort in his crate, at the first sign of being scared by something he was in it before you could blink.People tend to think that training your dog with a crate is cruel, but in actual fact it is very comforting for the dog.

Pups love their own area and the security it gives them but you do need common sense and don't keep your pup in their for a long time as he or she wont like being there when they have business to do outside.Part of training a dog should be to crate train them.

You can take action to train your dog with a crate even if it is not a puppy anymore, you can still get them to love their crate and make life for all concerned easier.

Why Crate Train?It is only natural that they will feel more secure once they are trained to use their crate as it is a safe place for them. Another bonus of crate training a dog, is that when the need arises where you have to transport them in your car, they are already used to the crate and you won't have any problems. When it comes too house training, the crate will come in very handy too.

If you're going on a trip with your pet, whether you are driving or taking a plane, you'll want to consider a crate. A crate will come in handy too if you need to fly, as your dog will already be used to the crate. Having your dog used to traveling in a crate can make life easier for you and the dog.
