Terminal cup
Make two back panels for the speakers. Cut two pieces of MDF to the same dimensions as the front panel, and cut centered openings in the panel for the terminal cups. Use the terminal cups as a template for the openings. Mount the terminal cups into the back panels with wood screws. - 3). Cut four side panels for the speakers---two for each speaker enclosure. Cut the panels to six-by-eight-and-a-half inches each.
- 4). Cut four top/bottom panels for the speakers---two for each speaker enclosure. Cut the panels to seven by six inches.
- 5). Screw together the top/bottom panels and the side panels with wood screws. Place a screw every two inches at a minimum. Place the top panels so they overlap the side panels and so the finished dimensions of the box you've created is seven by ten inches.
- 6). Screw the back panels onto the boxes from Step 5. Then slip a nine-inch length of speaker wire onto the connectors of the terminal cups inside the box.
- 7). Mount the front panels onto the boxes with wood screws. Pull the speaker wire out of the front of the box and connect it to the terminals of the speaker. Mount the speakers into the openings and screw them in place with wood screws.
