How to Sharpen Scissors With a Samurai Shark
- 1). Press down and forward on the sliding yellow button, exposing the Samurai Shark's alternate sharpening blade.
- 2). Open your scissors as wide as they will go. Grip the scissors by gently wrapping your hand around one blade and the nearby handle.
- 3). Slide the sharpening blade along the first scissor edge at a slight angle, working from the base of the scissor edge toward the tip. The sharpening blade will remove a small amount of metal from the cutting edge, removing any nicks or dull areas and leaving behind a thinner, sharper edge.
- 4). Slide the sharpening blade along the cutting edge several times. You should feel any nicks gradually wear away. Once the sharpening blade slides smoothly down the cutting edge, sharpen the other scissor.
- 5). Wipe your scissors off with a damp paper towel to remove any metal shavings, taking special care to wipe and clear the scissor hinge.
- 6). Press the sliding yellow button on the Samurai Shark down and back to retract the sharpening blade.
