How to Solve Virtual Memory Issues
- 1). Click "Start" followed by "Control Panel." Click "System and Security" ("System and Maintenance" in Windows Vista) and "System" from the list of applets. Alternatively, right-click "My Computer" from the "Start" menu and launch "Properties" to arrive at the same destination.
- 2). Click "Advanced System Settings" to launch the "System Properties" options. Click "Settings" from the Performance field. Select the "Advanced" tab and click "Change" from the Virtual Memory field.
- 3). Enable "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" to have Microsoft Windows provide virtual memory as the necessity arises. To manage virtual memory usage manually, select the "Custom Size" option and enter a desired amount within the "Initial Size" and "Maximum Size" fields, respectively.
- 4). Click "Set" followed by "OK" to save all changes and apply the new virtual memory settings.
