  America's favorite color for the bathroom is white. Neutral color schemes are also at the top of the list because they easily match any color scheme you choose for accessories. However in recent years, the bland, colorless whites and neutrals have moved aside for some bolder color choices, says Jennifer Haupt of HGTV.com. The key, according to Leatrice Eiseman, director of the Pantone Color Institute, is finding colors that give a clean feeling while staying true to your personal style.
  
  

Peach

  A bathroom is the home of the mirror. It's where you stumble each morning to brush your teeth and apply makeup. Many people take this into account when choosing color and opt for warm tones that compliment the skin. Designer Jarrett Hedborg explains in an article for HGTV.com that the color on your walls is reflected in the shadows on your face and body.   Tranquility is the theme of a blue-green bathroom. Pantone's color of the year for 2010 is turquoise. Reminiscent of water, this theme creates an atmosphere for relaxation and rejuvenation. In some cultures, turquoise is representative of protection, healing, faith and truth. That theme can be brought into your bathroom space with this color.
