The Benefits of a Proper Skin Care Regimen

Almost everyone wants beautiful, clear skin, but they may not know how to get it; that is where an esthetician comes in.
An esthetician should be able to consult with a client to understand their skin issues and determine which products and treatments will work the best for them with their skin type.
As an esthetician you need to not only provide the right treatment for your client at the spa, but you also need to tell them what products they can use at home for their daily regimen.
An esthetician should also discuss what a client should stay away from, like certain products that cause skin irritations or break outs.
An esthetician should never act as if they are conducting a sales pitch on their clients.
No client likes to feel forced to buy something, because it doesn't make them feel as though the esthetician cares about their treatment, but only about making a sale.
An esthetician should always make the client feel special so they feel they are getting the best care possible and will continue working with them.
The basic skin care routine includes cleansing, exfoliation, moisturizer and sunscreen.
A cleanser should not be harsh so it does not dry out the skin.
An esthetician can recommend a great exfoliant to work with a client's skin care routine that will exfoliate and have the skin feel smooth.
A moisturizer will seal moisture in and will keep the client's skin soft and subtle.
Sunscreen is always a must during anytime of the year and esthetician's need to stress this to their clients.
Even during the cold months, the sun can still be strong and cause skin problems in the long run.
