My mother makes this noodle kugel recipe for Rosh Hashanah and other Jewish holidays. Kugel is a traditional Jewish casserole, and while it's usually sweet (my preference), sometimes it is savory. To me, it's classic comfort food at its best. Pair it with sautéed sausages and some steamed vegetables or a tossed salad.
