How to Make an Envelope Cushion
- 1). Cut out a piece of fabric that is 14 inches square. This will form the front of the cushion.
- 2). Cut out two pieces of fabric that are each 14 inches by 10 inches. These pieces will form the back of the pillow.
- 3). Hem each of the two smaller pieces of fabric 1/2 inch along one of the 14-inch sides.
- 4). Lay the front piece of the fabric down on a table, with the right side of the fabric facing up.
- 5). Lay the two back pieces of fabric on top of the front piece, with the right sides of the fabric facing down. Line up the unhemmed 14-inch edge of the first back piece along the top edge of the front piece. Line up the unhemmed 14-inch edge of the second back piece along the bottom of the front piece.
- 6). Sew the front and back pieces together all around the outside edges, leaving the hemmed edges of the back pieces open.
- 7). Turn the pillowcase right side out and use the opening in the back to put the pillow form inside of it. Insert the pillow form into one side first, then bring the other open back edge over the other end of the pillow.
