How to Identify Counterfeit 7 for All Mankind Jeans
- 1). Examine the paper tag that comes attached to the jeans. The colors should be vibrant and the tag itself should be glossy. Many counterfeit tags have faded colors and lack a glossy shine.
- 2). Look at the tag on the back of the jeans. The 7 on the tag should be completely visible, flush between the seams, and measure 1 1/4 inches in length. If the 7 is partially obscured or the tag is placed sloppily, this is a strong indicator that the jeans are fake.
- 3). Check the color of the tag on the inside of the jeans. Real 7 For All Mankind jeans have an off-white tag with straight, even stitching. If the tag is white or the stitching is sloppy, the jeans are likely counterfeit.
- 4). Examine the back of the inside tag. Authentic 7 For All Mankind jeans have silver microstiching, which appears has a more subtle appearance than regular stitching. There should also be a white on white serial number imprinted above the microstitching. If there is a normal silver stitch with thread and no serial number, they're inauthentic.
- 5). Check to be sure that all rivets on the jeans are completely flat, defined at the edges, and branded with a 7 in the center. Fake 7 For All Mankind jeans may have the 7 off center or the rivets may be slightly rounded.
