Beading Glue This glue is used for securing knotted threads, some finishings and beads.
Cyanoacrylate or instant glue is the best option.
It's strong and keeps a firm hold.
Epoxy Adhesives and Silicone Five-minute epoxy and silicone/glue-gun adhesives are other good choices for jewelry making.
Ribbons and Fibers Cords, ribbons and fibers add some colour and interesting texture to your jewelry piece.
It's easier to use beads with larger holes with these.
Beading Needles These needles comes in different lengths and are thin enough to go through very small beads.
The larger the number of needle, the smaller the diameter.
The longer needles are designed to load many beads at once when stringing them.
Mostly people work with a size 10 to 12 needle.
This size needles will go through most holes.
Tweezers Tweezers are very helpful when picking up or placing small beads from or into a certain positions.
Tweezers is also used to help untangling threads and knots.
Magnifying Glasses Magnifying glasses are handy for threading needles and for when working with very small beads.
Ruler or Measuring Tape Rulers or tape are used to accurately measure lengths needed for wire or thread or to place beads with accurate spaces onto wire.
Beading Board or Mat A board, tray or mat will give you a surface for holding beads in compartments and is helpful when stringing.
The boards have measurements on them that makes it also helpful in designing the piece.
A tray or a soft, non-fuzzy fabric mat can also be used.
Metal nail file A file is handy to file some rough and prickly edges.
Always be very careful not to damage the bead or finding.
Jewelry Cloth A soft jewelry cloth is ideal to clean and polish sterling silver or other metal findings, metal beads and chains.
