How to Put Clothes for Kids in Bags for Each Day of the Week

    • 1). Wash all the clothes. Start with fresh, clean clothes before you start this project. Afterwards dry the clothes in the dryer. Ask your kids to help with the folding and putting every item in its place whether it is their closet or sock drawer.

    • 2). Help your children choose their favorite seven outfits for the week. Be sure they choose clothing that is appropriate for the weather and the planned activities. For example, if your children have soccer practice Saturday morning, then the outfit should be their uniform. Include socks, underwear and any accessories like belts. Set aside.

    • 3). Write each day of the week on your seven canvas tote bags with black fabric marker. If your children are older, ask them to help you write each day on each separate bag.

    • 4). Place each chosen outfit into the appropriate bag. Be sure it is all nicely folded rather than stuffed inside, otherwise the clothes will be wrinkly. Check each canvas bag to make sure each outfit works for the planned day and that everything is inside, like pants or two socks.

    • 5). Hang each bag on a hanger. Place the hangers into the closet in the correct order. Then place the next day's bag with the hanger on the door of the closet, desk chair or doorknob. It needs to be placed somewhere in the child's room so he will find it easily the next morning. After the child uses that bag, hang it back up in the closet.
