- 1). Connect the three provided AC power adapters to the plug in the back of the main base unit and the two satellite handset charger units. Plug the other end of the AC power adapter into a wall outlet.
- 2). Plug one end of the included single-line telephone cord into the jack in the back of the main base unit. Plug the other end of the cord into a telephone wall jack.
- 3). Apply downward pressure to the indentation on the back of each telephone handset to remove the handset cover. Insert the provided telephone battery and slide the panel back onto the back of the handset. Place each handset onto a base unit or charger unit for six hours to charge the handset to full strength.
- 4). Set the data and time on your base unit. Press the "Menu" button, select the Clock icon and select "Date and Time." Type in a six-digit code to set the date; for example, to set the date to Sept. 14, 2010, type in 091410. Type in a four-digit code indicating the time, from 00:00 through 12:00, and press "AM/PM" to select the appropriate time of day. Press the "SAVE" button to save the date and time.
- 5). Dial a number on the handset by entering a phone number and pressing the "CALL" button or the button with a telephone icon on it. Press the "OFF" button or place the handset on the base unit to end your call.
- 6). Subscribe to your telephone company's caller ID service if you want to activate your base unit's caller ID function. Once you do so, the base unit will automatically display name and phone number information for all callers.
