How to: Task Manager Commands in CMD
- 1). Click "Start" and type "cmd" then press "Enter" to open the Command Prompt.
- 2). Type "tasklist" and press "Enter." This displays all running tasks and services that would be displayed in the Task Manager.
- 3). Type "taskkill task.exe" replacing "task" with the name of the program or service that you want to end. Press "Enter" to end that task or service, just like in the Task Manager.
- 4). Type "ipconfig" and press "Enter." This displays all network connections that are currently operating, similar to the "Networking" tab in Task Manager.
- 5). Type "help" and press "Enter" to display all other commands available to you. Close the Command Prompt when you have finished.
