Install the Blinds

• 1). Measure 2 inches from either side of the window. Mark this spot with a pencil. Hold the brackets up to each spot and trace the hole in the middle. This is where you will drill a hole for the installation brackets.
  
  
• 2). Measure the center between the two marked spots. This is where the center installation bracket will go for your JC Penney wood blinds.
  
  
• 3). Drill a hole in each of the three marked spots.
  
  
• 4). Hold the brackets over the drilled spots and insert the screws through the center holes. Drill the screws in until they are tight.
  
  
• 5). Slide the headrail into the brackets by holding it at an angle and snapping the headrail into place.
  
  
• 6). Remove the protective wrapping and unwind the cords.
  
  
• 7). If your wood blinds come with a valance, as many JC Penney wood blinds do, snap it on over the headrail. The valance is made to attach neatly to the headrail and cover it.
