About The Great Gorilla Run:

The Great Gorilla Run is a chance for you to dress up as a gorilla and join hundreds of other 'gorillas' running through central London to raise money for the The Gorilla Organization to help save the world's last remaining gorillas.

Even if you don't join in, it's really good fun to go and watch. When did you last see a gorilla running over Tower Bridge?!

When: An annual September event.

2015 Date: Saturday 19 September 2015

Start time: 10.30am
Runners will finish in 30-40 minutes (if running) to 2 hours (if walking).

Where: The run starts and finishes at the London Underwriting Centre off Mincing Lane, EC3 in the City of London.

It's a nice, flat, 7 kilometer route (that's just over 4 miles) through the heart of the City of London, over the famous bridges and past some of London's major landmarks including Tower Bridge and Tate Modern.

  • Bank
  • Aldgate

 

Cost for Spectators: Free!

Cost for Runners: All first-time runners pay a non-refundable £50 registration fee. The fee covers the cost of your gorilla costume (which you can keep afterwards), event administration, and a donation to the charity. Runners are asked to raise of minimum of £400 in sponsorship.
