Ideas For Increased Productivity - These Work!
If you're like me then sometimes you have trouble focusing 100% of your attention to your business.
We all want our days to be as productive as possible because if we don't produce we don't make money.
One of the hardest things for me to adjust to was the fact that I didn't have a boss anymore telling me what to do.
I was so used to having a schedule planned out for me that the transition to self-employed was a difficult one to make.
Here following are some of the best ideas for increased productivity.
They might seem weird but you'd be surprised how big of a difference these tiny little ideas make.
Get up and go to bed at the same time every day.
Some people stay up till the wee hours of the morning working because they want to produce as much as possible.
The problem with this is that your body needs rest regularly.
If you stay up late putting the final touches on your campaign your body will pay for it in the morning.
Maybe not the next morning but in the long run your productivity will decrease.
Its just like drinking coffee all day.
Sure it keeps you alert for a while but when it wears off you run to the pot to pour yourself some more coffee.
This is a form of artificial energy that actually depletes your energy and makes you less productive.
Block your day into 60 minute increments.
The best work is always done in the first hour of starting fresh.
After about an hour of work your energy and focus start to depreciate and it compounds the more you stress yourself.
The best method to use is one called the 50/10 method.
Have a timer to time yourself to 50 minutes of intense productivity.
The next 10 minutes after that you take a break.
Drink some water, go outside, get some fresh air and go for a short walk to re energize your body and mind.
When you go back to your desk you will be ready for another hour of intense productivity.
This keeps you from wearing yourself out.
Another idea for increased productivity drink plenty of water.
I already mentioned it above but drinking water is the most important thing for your brain.
Your brain runs on water and if you choose to drink soft drinks and sodas, or if you're like me, a nice cold beer, your mind will be affected and not work at it's highest efficiency.
Exercise daily.
Believe it or not when your body gets exercise it actually develops more energy.
When your on the couch your body is at idle, or in first gear.
You have to run your body and your heart rate through the gears to maintain a balanced metabolism and have high energy.
Stay away from the junk food.
It robs you of energy, especially mental energy.
That sugar rush you get from junk food is definitely not good for you.
If you feed your body too much junk food then it will think that that's the only thing it has to survive on and it will start craving more junk food.
This doesn't mean that you can't enjoy a good burger fries and a beer at your local tavern once a week, it just means moderation.
When going about your day keep in mind all these great ideas for increased productivity.
They're all awesome and simple.
All these physical aspects of keeping productive are very important but just as important is the way your business is set up.
The more automated and the more systems you have working for you the easier your life and the more productive you will be and the more money you'll make.
Systems are very important to success.
