    • 1). Mark a vertical line through the middle of each wall around the tub with your pencil and level.

    • 2). Spread tile adhesive on one wall with your tiling trowel, spreading it in a horizontal line along the border of the tub and making the line of adhesive tall enough to accommodate a row tiles.

    • 3). Apply tiles on the wall starting at the vertical line, putting tile spacers between them. Put spacers under them as well to separate them from the tub. Hang the whole first row of tiles, cutting the pieces at the ends on your tile cutter to fit.

    • 4). Spread additional adhesive above the first row of tiles and press more tiles to the wall in a grid pattern, using the center line as your starting point for each row. Build up the wall, putting spacers between all the tiles and the cutting the end tiles as necessary.

    • 5). Tile each wall above the tub in the same manner. Let the adhesive set overnight.

    • 6). Pull out the spacers. Spread grout over each wall, from the top down, with your grout trowel. Use the edge of the trowel to press the grout into the spaces between the tiles. Don't grout space between the tiles and the tub. Wipe off excess grout with a slightly damp sponge.

    • 7). Let the grout set for a day. Run a bead of caulk in the space between the tiles and the edge of the tub.
