How to Fold Difficult Origami Paper Airplanes
- 1). Measure a piece of paper to be 10 inches wide and 7 7/8 inches long. Use a straight edge or a ruler to be accurate as possible. Cut out a triangle so the base is ten inches.
- 2). Fold the triangle in half so each base corner meets the other then unfold. You should have three creases in the paper, one in the middle and two that appear as an X overlapping the middle of the first crease.
- 3). Push each side of the triangle, from the end of each crease, so the tip will stand up creating a peak. Carefully fold the peak straight down. This will bring the sides out and the tip down. Fold the lower outside edges of the central diamond to the middle crease.
- 4). Fold the wings and unfold to create a crease. Fold a corner to the crease and unfold. Turn paper over and crease the opposite way on the other side. Sink the corner into the body.
- 5). Fold the other wing tip to meet the crease and unfold. Crimp the other side up (neck) and fold the tip so it points upward. Fold the base of the tip back down forming a beak. Adjust the wings where the creases are so they are up and away from the body so the plane can fly.
