How to Adjust the Audio Property on the Desktop in Vista
- 1). Power on your computer and log in to your computer as a "System Administrator" user.
- 2). Click on the "Start" icon in the bottom-left corner of the desktop screen, and select the "Control Panel" option.
- 3). Select the "Hardware and Sound" icon, and click on the "Sound" option. Your computer will detect the internal and external sound devices such as audio sound cars, external microphones, external and internal speakers.
- 4). Right-click on the device you wish to adjust and select the "Properties" option in the drop-down menu. Make changes to the "Levels" and "Enhancement" settings. The "Levels' setting includes the volume and loudness of the speakers, while the "Enhancement" setting focuses on bass, bit-rate, frequency, amplitude and more.
- 5). Click the "OK" button in the bottom-right corner of the window to apply changes and close out of the properties window.
