    • 1). Wipe off your iPod screen with a microfiber cloth. Wash your hands thoroughly. Wet your fingers with application solution, if provided.

    • 2). Peel the shield away from its wrapping or container. Try to touch the side that will press against your iPod as little as possible. If provided, spray shield with application solution.

    • 3). Line up the end of the shield with the hole for the home button with appropriate end of your iPod's screen.

    • 4). Carefully and slowly lay the shield down toward the other end of the screen. If you notice several air bubbles or a misalignment, peel it back and start over.

    • 5). Smooth the screen with your thumb, pressing any visible air bubbles toward the closest edge.

    • 6). Set the flat edge of a thin, firm, plastic object --- some shields provide a special tool, but if yours does not, use something like a credit card --- at one end of the screen. Pressing evenly on both sides of the object, slowly slide the edge toward the other end of the screen. Press firmly, but not too hard, lest you damage your iPod screen. Draw the object back toward you when you reach the other end. If you still see bubbles, scrape them gently toward the nearest edge. This should remove any air bubbles and leave the shield completely flat. If not, repeat the process.
