Your Ego - Don"t Let It Hold You Back
Getting over your ego and pride in your life is a must to your road to success.
When you start thinking to yourself that you have an answer for everything, this means your ego has gotten to big.
This is when you need to find more successful people and start to hang out with them.
The successful people are far beyond what you have accomplished in your current life.
They will give your ego a good kick in the butt and help pull you to the next level.
You may be in sales and have gotten fairly good at what you do.
If you work for a big company and find yourself thinking, my boss really doesn't know what he's talking about and I don't have to deal with this, each time you let go of your ego.
Do you find yourself moving from job to job, only can do more in debt and not achieving the level of success you desire? Are you constantly arguing with your superiors at your job? Do you think you have all the answers and no one else's right? Do you have a hard time listening to others when they are offering advice? If you can answer yes to any of these questions, chances are you have an ego issue and don't even realize it.
If your ego is too big, you have a huge Achilles heel and don't even realize it.
When people cater to your ego, they can manipulate you in many ways that you never thought possible.
This can be a huge problem, especially if your job is in sales.
Find a good company to work for and make a decision to stick with them.
Do not try and skip from job to job looking for the next best deal.
Going from place to place, thing to thing, or whatever new hot deal has just come on the market, usually does not pay off in the long run.
Sticking with one thing, learning the business, and using sheer determination and motivation usually does pay off.
Don't allow yourself get distracted and taken off of course.
Do not miss great opportunities because you have developed a huge ego in life.
Many of the greatest opportunities come only once in a while and you must be prepared when they do.
If they pass, they are usually gone forever.
Do not keep thinking to yourself that you know more than the next person.
You instead should be asking, what can I learned from this other person that I do not already know?
