Unlocking by Using the Computer

• 1). Connect the USB end of the iPod sync cable to a high-speed USB port on the computer you used to set up your third generation iPod Nano.
  
  
• 2). Connect the dock connector end of the iPod sync cable into the dock connector on the bottom of your third generation iPod Nano.
  
  
• 3). Launch iTunes on your computer if it doesn't launch automatically. Opening iTunes with your third generation iPod Nano connected to your computer should unlock it.
  
  

Unlocking by Using the iPod Nano

• 1). Press any button on your third generation iPod Nano to turn it on or wake it from sleep mode. Doing this will display a lock on the screen.
  
  
• 2). Use the click wheel to scroll to the first number of the combination.
  
  
• 3). Press the center button to select the first number and move onto the second number.
  
  
• 4). Repeat the process for all four numbers of the combination. Once you enter all four numbers of the combination, your third generation iPod Nano should unlock.
