Caffeine Levels of Starbucks' Iced Espresso Drinks


Many of Starbucks' iced espresso drinks are made with a "solo" (single shot of espresso) in the Tall size, a "doppio" (double shot of espresso) in the Grande size and three shots of espresso in the Venti Iced size. Unless they contain chocolate or extra espresso, these drink contain the following levels of caffeine:

  • Tall - 75 mg
  • Grande - 150 mg
  • Venti Iced - 225 mg

Starbucks iced espresso drinks with the amounts of caffeine listed above include:
  • Iced Caffe Latte
  • Iced Caramel Macchiato
  • Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte
  • Iced Flavored Lattes
  • Iced Gingerbread Latte
  • Iced Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha
  • Iced Skinny Flavored Latte
  • Iced Tiramisu Latte
  • Iced Vanilla Latte
  • Iced Vanilla Spice Latte (seasonal offering)
  • Iced White Chocolate Mocha

A Starbucks' Iced Caffe Americano contains more caffeine:
  • Tall - 150 mg
  • Grande - 225 mg
  • Venti Iced - 300 mg

Because it contains cocoa, the Iced Cocoa Cappuccino has even more caffeine:
  • Tall - 90 mg
  • Grande - 170 mg
  • Venti (20 oz, not the usual 24-oz Venti Iced size) - 225 mg

The Iced Caffe Mocha and Iced Peppermint Mocha have the most caffeine of the Starbucks Iced Espresso drinks:
  • Tall - 95 mg
  • Grande - 175 mg
  • Venti Iced - 265 mg

The main exception to the single / double shot guideline for figuring out how much caffeine is in a Starbucks espresso drink is the Iced Flat White. It contains:
  • Tall - 90 mg
  • Grande - 130 mg
  • Venti Iced - 175 mg
