How to Fold Bandanas into Bracelets

    • 1). Spread the bandana out into a flat square. Press the bandana with an iron to remove any wrinkles, if necessary.

    • 2). Fold one corner over to the opposite corner to create a triangle. Press this triangle fold with the iron to make it crisp.

    • 3). Fold down the top corner (the corner opposite the folded edge). Make this fold the width you desire for your bracelet. Press this fold with the iron.

    • 4). Continue folding the bracelet over the same width and pressing each fold with the iron. Fold until you reach the folded edge of the bandana.

    • 5). Add as many wood beads to the folded bandana as you desire. Spread the beads out along the length of the folded bandana. Because of the thickness of the folded bandana inside the holes of the beads, the beads will not move easily along the fabric---they will generally stay where you place them.

    • 6). Find the center of the folded bandana and place it on top of your wrist. Pull the ends of the bandana around your wrist and cross them on the underside of your wrist.

    • 7). Bring the bandana ends back up around to the top of your wrist and meet them together. Ask your assistant to tie the bandana ends into a tight double knot.

    • 8). Rotate the bandana bracelet around so the knot is on the underside of your wrist.
