Once you've made your choice and purchased your domain name, write about 10 articles to be your base, so that when you launch your new blog there's something there for people to read.
After that you'll need to add new content on a consistent basis.

You're looking for quality content, not filler.
You also don't need to buy articles from the "article factories.
" They aren't good and won't add value - or return visitors.
If you run out of time and ideas, do a search on EzineArticles.
com and download a few to fill in as "guests" on days when you aren't writing.
Just be SURE to include the author's resource box.
Do remember to give your blog your personality.
People like to do business with people - not with companies or robots.
They like knowing that you have some of the same little challenges in life that they do - cat hair in the keyboard, a washing machine that overflows, or a baby who seems to be growing up way too fast.
So add a few tidbits about life as you go along.

Twitter is one good way, and I expect Facebook and the others are as well, although I haven't used them.
